Lea Michele's "New Year's Eve" Excitment

Venturing away from her hit TV show to test her luck on the big screen, Lea Michele arrived for her first day of filming on the set of "New Year's Eve" in New York City on Monday (March 14).

Looking ever so overjoyed about the new gig, the "Glee" actress strutted through the Times Square locale clad in a colorful pea coat and jeans as she chatted with a few set workers prior to getting things underway.

Having arrived in the Big Apple from Los Angeles the previous day, Miss Michele quickly took to Twitter upon her initial day of filming, as she wrote, "I'm on set right now!!! So exciting!!!"


Lea also was among the many celebs voicing support for those recovering from the devastating earthquake, as she tweeted a few days prior, "So devastating to hear about the huge earthquake & tsunami [in] Japan. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone there."

It’s one of the worst natural disasters in modern history, and the Japanese earthquake/tsunami devastation is unbelievable.

Here in the States, many of our favorite celebrities are taking to their Twitter accounts to send love, prayers, and well-wishes to everyone affected.

Khloe Kardashian tweeted, “My prayers and love is with all of those in Japan. Wow my heart is breaking with every image I see. So sad! Praying hard!”

Additionally, Lea Michele added, "So devastating to hear about the huge earthquake & tsunami [in] Japan. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone there."

As for Lindsay Lohan, she shared, "My mommy just woke my sister and I up to this! God bless those that are in fear."

"The images on the news are breaking my heart. I am so worried for everyone in Japan. My thoughts are with you Japan. God bless you all," tweeted Paris Hilton.

And President Barack Obama shared, "Sending condolences to the people of Japan, particularly those who lost loved ones in the earthquake & tsunamis. U.S. stands ready to help."

It was another hot night at the Audi Forum Dallas as the brand hosted an intimate private dinner attended by Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison, Jenna Ushkowitz, Chace Crawford, Tony Romo, Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, Hugh Jackman, Candice Crawford, Jessica Szohr, Jessica Lowndes, Marisa Miller, Keri Hilson, and more.

Guests enjoyed cocktails and canapés before being seated upstairs in an elegant dining area. Matthew Morrison then gave a welcome toast to the party as the first course was served. Chace Crawford attended with his parents, sister Candice and her fiancé Tony Romo. The group sat together along with Chace’s fellow “Gossip Girl” star Jessica Szohr and shared laughs throughout the evening.


Tony and Candice held hands the entire night while Chace bonded with his future brother-in-law.
Lea Michele, who also attended with her family, shared a huge hug with her “Glee” co-star Matthew Morrison and stopped by Jenna Ushkowitz and Jessica Lowndes’ table to catch up.

This is a pretty big month for Lea Michele! First, it was announced that she will be singing at the Super Bowl and now she’s on the March cover of Cosmopolitan magazine! According to their website, she’ll be dishing the details on her relationship with a fellow actor. The issue hits the stands on February 8th.

 On auditioning before landing ‘Glee’:

I knew I wasn’t going to end up on a Disney half-hour show. I mean, look at me! I don’t look like those girls. I just wanted to do a guest spot, like on Grey’s Anatomy.”

I bet she’s giving her dad some teasing about the Super Bowl gig, since he didn’t think she could sing! LOL!

Adding a little more star power to an already sure to be celeb-packed affair, Lea Michele has been chosen for singing duties at Super Bowl XLV.

Being held in Dallas, Texas, the "Glee" actress will be treating fans to a rendition of “America the Beautiful” when the annual NFL championship game takes place on February 6.

Miss Michele joins Christina Aguilera - who will be singing the national anthem - with the Black Eyed Peas taking on halftime performance duties.


Following the big game, fans of Lea can stay tuned to FOX as an all-new special episode of "Glee" will be aired upon the Super Bowl's conclusion.

I have to say I think that Justin Timberlake would be awesome on Glee! Lea Michele, who plays Rachel Berry on the show, also said that she’d love to see Madonna actually guest star on the show too!

“We all loved doing the Madonna show – it was one of my favourite episodes. We’re hoping to do a part two. Maybe Madonna could be the sex education teacher.

“Justin Timberlake would be great. He is perfect.”

Oooooh, I think a show with Madonna and Justin Timberlake would be even better! Lea Michele also told LOOK magazine that rumors of Susan Boyle appearing on the show have her giddy!

“Oh my God, I have no idea! It would be so incredible to sing with her.

“She had a hidden talent which was then discovered, which is what happened to so many of us from ‘Glee’. Look at Amber Riley and Chris Colfer – they’re incredible and thanks to ‘Glee’ the world gets to see them.

“I think Susan Boyle is perfect. She’s a shoo-in.”

I think those all would be perfect guest stars for the show! I can’t wait for new episodes to return because as much as I love to rewatch old episodes I much prefer the new ones! Who would you like to see guest star on Glee?

The sisters are celebrating today – their new book, “Kardashian Konfidential”, debuted at #4 on the NY Times Best Seller list! Kim and Khloe are still silent on Twitter, though, as they (along with the other celebs participating) are only about 10% of the way to hitting the $1 million mark for Alicia Keys’ Keep a Child Alive foundation. I wonder how long until celebrities just start tossing their own money in the hat so they can get back to Tweeting? They must be going crazy!

She’s been on a constant rise to fame thanks to her “Glee” gig, and Lea Michele was having a blast at TV Guide Magazine’s Hot List Party last night (November 8).

The singer/actress arrived at the W Hollywood looking absolutely fabulous in an above-the-knee multi-colored dress with black heels as she posed for the paparazzi.


In related news, Lea also made an appearance on Conan O’Brien’s new show on TBS where she chatted about her crazy life and the steamy GQ spread that’s garnered so much controversy.

Prior to her interview with CoCo, Lea tweeted, “At Conan!!! Soooooooo excited!!!!!!” O’Brien’s show has been one of the most anticipated of the season after he was unceremoniously dismissed from NBC.

As if they needed more fans - three “Glee” cast members are on the November issue of GQ magazine.
Cory Montieth has the enviable job of grabbing the posteriors of both Dianna Agron and Lea Michele as they look flirtatiously into the camera.

In the accompanying interview, Lea reveals her feelings on being told she needs to get a nose job. “I was one of the only girls in my high school that didn’t get one. And if anybody needed it, I probably did. But my mom always told me, growing up, ‘Barbra Streisand didn’t get a nose job. You’re not getting a nose job.’ And I didn’t. F— those people. That’s why I’m proud to be on a positive show and to be a voice for girls and say, ‘You don’t need to look like everybody else. Love who you are.’”

Miss Michele also noted that the whole cast is tight with each other. “[I]f anything’s going on in our lives, we have each other. One time, I was having a bad day, and I called Chris Colfer.
